TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
The Ninth Annual Jeff Berberich Memorial Invitational Golf Tournament was held at the Hombre Golf Course on April 26th and April 27th, 2003. The weather again was perfect, the tournament field was full, and most importantly we raised over $40,000 for the kids.
Friday evening everyone gathered at Montego Bay Seafood House for the welcome dinner. Many also had the opportunity to renew old friendships, make new friends, and enjoy their time being with family and friends.
Saturday morning dawned with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid seventies. One hundred and forty golfers gathered at the clubhouse and the driving range to prepare for the start of the tournament.
Once again at the conclusion of the day, we had some great scores turned in and there were about eleven teams within four stokes of the leaders.
Saturday evening everyone enjoyed a sunset cruise once again compliments of our friend Captain Carl Anderson. The evening was perfect with a spectacular sunset along with great finger food from our friends at Applebee's.
Sunday morning many of our friends and family members attended Mass at St. Bernadette's Church in honor of Jeff.
At noon, golf resumed, and again we had a gorgeous day!
The banquet following golf was once again special. The Hombre Staff served an outstanding steak dinner with all the trimmings; everyone seemed to have had a great time.
